One of the films that has stayed with us since hitting up the LAFF is the rabble rouser Dirty Hands: The Art and Crimes of David Choe. A story close to where our hearts would be if we hadn’t already sold them to the devil. It’s your average documentary about a struggling artist that robs, steals, vandalizes, causes pain, and is an all around son-of-a-bitch, and yet gets paid mad money for his genius.

For the past few years, we’ve been attending the L.A. Film Festival watching various films and covering the pertinent music video showings. This year will be no different, as we’ll be there in full effect (most likely running late for each screening). Also as with each year, we encourage you to come out and support the directors and videos playing, as well as chat us up, high five us, punch us, buy us a few drinks or all of the above.

This year the Moving Image section of Synch Festival focuses on the direct relationship between music and image as well as on their interaction in the form of music video. Therefore, we invite you to send your MUSIC VIDEOS– of amateur or professional level, based on innovation and experimentation regarding the interaction between music and image. The collected video clips from around the world will be projected during the festival. Our aim is the communication and presentation of different and alternative routes of cinematography and music-image interaction to an international audience. This call is targeted to all of you, amateur and professional directors, creative minds, music bands, artists. It is an opportunity to present your work internationally. So, get off your couch and SHOW ME THEMUSIC!!! Send your entries until April 30, 2008.
