Daedelus – LA Nocturn (Eli Stonberg)

Daedelus

Who knew that I would be the one to break the SRO silence war, but I lost and won at the same time. You have to break the silence when one of your boys sends you a video that needs to be seen. Maybe you remember Eli Stonberg from a great many Video Round Up’s, but today he’s bringing his game to his very own post with one of our favorite people Daedelus. I could go on and on but Eli said he would do it.

One evening during the summer my friend handed me a pair of “rainbow glasses” that she had been given at a rave. I was immediately entranced and knew that I wanted to make a video using the glasses as a lens filter. A few months later I saw Daedelus live and realized that his monome (the light up instrument that he plays) + those lens filters would make for a great combination. What I love about Daedelus’ aesthetic is that he wears Victorian Era clothes yet plays a very futuristic instrument. So i sought to make a video that captured that future/past combination. The video is in support of a new label called Friends of Friends. It’s a really cool new concept… If you buy an awesome T-Shirt, you also get a split EP from Daedelus and Jogger. Check it out here: www.fofmusic.net

Way to smoke a bunch of awesome before making this video. If you could just give me that spinning rainbow effect as a visualizer for my iTunes that would be amazing. A video and a bunch of other stuff as well coming up.

Yeah, we are hoping to start with more updates in the near future. Keep holding out hope. Thanks Scott, still a work in progress but I think it’s starting out nice.
