video round up

4th Place: Emil.RuleZ! – Ebola Cola
(Dir: András Jeli)

Hey! When we start getting music videos from Hungary does that mean we are famous? Yes it does! Now I think this video is in English, but I think I’m missing some of the translation. I’m fairly sure he is talking some mad shit on people. The video is really choppy and that’s why this video is at the bottom. Could be the video style, could be the horrible stream, it could be the fact that in Hungary the internet requires Wizards and Magic to stream a proper music video.

3rd Place: wildabeast – Many Levels

(Dir: Adam Hall & James McCusker)

This video is almost there for me. I like the idea behind it. I like that a rap video can be something else. What I don’t like is how the head looks on other bodies. It doesn’t look right. I know that might just be budget but it throws me off. However I love him rapping at a candy store. I love the headless bodies he raps next to. Almost there, almost.

2nd Place: Flipron – Book of Lies
(Dir: Alex de Campi)

The hardest working women in the music video is back. Did you know by the time I finish this post she’ll already have another music video done. I need to post faster. How bout this; a video for the fellas by the ladies. Maybe they know that we don’t care about the shit they say. Thank god my girlfriend doesn’t read this. Either way this dude is dragged on a date he doesn’t want to be on and when it’s all to much he bails for another women. P.S. I’m all for punching a bunny in the face.

1st: Yoome – AMSTERDAMN
(Dir: Tony Trimm)

I’m not sure why this video is so good. I can see why you might not like it, but in a song about divorce, it is the perfect marriage of shot vs shot. A marriage of lyrical content to visual representation. It feels awkward and painful, which is the way divorce is. Uncomfortable for friends who have to travel between what was one world and now is two. It has its own social commentary and the shit talking of hating the person you use to love. The video captures what it means to breakup. Thanks for making me sad asshole.
