Don’t know if you grew up at the same time I did, but when I was a kid, these videos played ALL THE TIME on MTV. I remember staying at my grandparents house the summer of 94′ when the ‘Black Hole Sun’ video came out, and since being at your grandparents means all you do is watch TV, I must have seen it at least 20 times. Thing was playing roughly twice an hour. I’m not going to turn this into a MTV hate-off but I will segue into a goodbye to TRL. RIP TRL and hello FNMTV (It’s called rebranding). That TRL reunion/last show is going to be a lesson in tortuous visual pain though. Have you seen the line up….can’t wait for that.

i wasn’t allowed to watch MTV when these videos came out (because i think i was like 10), however i know exactly what you mean about watching TV at your grandparents. secret MTV and late-night VH1 all the way
also, i know nothing about this TRL thing, but i’m sure it’s awful. i’ll take your word for it.
