I’m tired of gushing about Lykke Li…I just can’t do it anymore. We’ve told you many times before about her greatness, from music video posts to Monthly Mix inclusions. If you aren’t on the train yet, then it’s left you behind.

Although I do have a small story. I’ve been sneaking this song up on people a lot lately. Driving in the car I’ll shuffle through a few new tracks that I know my passengers aren’t familiar with, waiting for a comment. Eventually I’ll bust this out and like clockwork, every time, the song will finish and they will say, “Who was that? I liked that a lot!”

Anyway, Sarah Chatfield steps to the plate on this one, and from her back catalogue of work, she was a good choice. She’s done a lot of work for women: Annie, Lilly Allen, Booty Luv and others. So it’s no surprise she knows how to make her work/subjects look good. Here we find Ms. Li ‘Breaking It Up’, and appropriately she has a ‘breaking it down’ kinda look going. Oh she still has her charm, but the colors and lighting are a bit melancholy and go well with the theme being played out. A well made video that is at all times enjoyable. Although it’s hard to fuck things up when you have Lykke’s music and face to work with, props still to Sarah Chatfield. Well done!
