Manchester Orchestra - I Can Barely Breathe (Clay Lipsky & Jason Bognacki)

Clay’s videos have always been a visual onslaught of mixed media, superbly crafted and presented. Apparently he now has teamed up with Jason Bognacki, a fellow creative mastermind, and together they now create under the moniker Destroy Rock Music Inc. Let’s hope things don’t change because Clay had his style on lock; lush beautiful layers set to sound.
So it’s a relief to me that the video for Manchester Orchestra follows suit and is a feast for the eyes. Probably the most coherent story we have seen from the man, compared to Daedelus’ ‘Sundown’ or KJ Sawka’s ‘Montreal’. But don’t worry, the video doesn’t get bogged down with a heavy narrative, if anything it adds a bit of structure to his usually scattered visualizations.

I’m not sure why labels and bands aren’t knocking down Clay’s door to get at his talent. His videos look better than 75% of the crap out there. I know if I was in a band, he’d be one of the first directors I would call.
Anyway, this new video is outstanding and another notch in the belt of Clay and Jason. Make sure you stay for the end because the last sequence with girl in a field of flowers is breathtaking. Mixed media design at its best. These men need to win some awards or something.

Magical play by Clay leaves goose bumps on your skin. The color of the wind brings a smell of thunder - fresh, heavy air flies into lungs as the house starts collapsing. This video is alive.
