When we last left Mr. Rascal it seemed he was making his escape from white oppression, or something of the sort, in W.I.Z.’s shot for Sirens. We made a bit of a stink regarding the high profile and social consciousness of the video and Dizzee’s choice to shoot it. It seems now he’s reverted a space or two opting to follow up with the obligatory club video with lots of half dressed women and booze. And Calvin Harris?

I have to say that even though this video is Lame City, the track survives due to its Calvin Harris beats. Although even he is wasted as the bartender singing the chorus in the video. You can see the boredom in his “acting”, although that Chrome guy looks pretty stoked to be in the video. As for Dizzee himself, well our favorite parts are his different faces and creepy smiles he throws in throughout. Maybe it’s because he’s so proud of calling his new label Dirtee Stank? Color us unimpressed with this video and hope DR gets back on track post haste. We’d tell him ourselves when he plays L.A.’s Echoplex on July 24th, but we’ll be busy trying not to burn down San Diego.
