The Black Lips aren’t really heard around the SRO Labs, but that won’t stop us from talking about their latest video escapade. Before we get into it, we all must realize that they’re signed to Vice records, so you know they’re fucked up, but in probably in a decent way.

First off, the song is 2 minutes and 47 seconds of awesomesauce. From there things start off a little familiar. Like that Whitey helmed, Band of Horses shot for Great Salt Lake. Although instead of going to play softball, the boys are rolling around Hotlanta in search of some “Magic City titties”. Well, now we know one place to visit if we ever head down there. Everything else seems to be just filler, almost like they were trying to do their version of a hip-hop video, with a Black Lips twist (ie: strippers, cash, mustaches, etc.) We couldn’t find the director listed anywheres, so we called/texted the band (949) 836-7407. Sadly, they were away from their phone and their mailbox was full. Feel free to call them and ask the director if you get through and let us know.

In all, this video was a nice upgrade from their last for Katrina, which was like a dirtier version of Jake Scott’s Reptilia for the Strokes.
