Del Tha Funky Homosapien – Workin It
(Grant James)

What?! You’re not familiar with Del tha Funkee Homosapien. You better read up, son. He’s been slaying it in this game called rap for the last 16 years. He is the man responsible for the voice behind the ghost on the Gorillaz track “Clint Eastwood.” If you’re anyone, you have somewhere in your massive (and now extinct) CD collection a copy of Deltron 3030
“Workin it” is the second single released off of 11th Hour and you’ve already listened to “Bubble Pop” a thousand times and love it so this track should be no exception. Del’s in his futuristic work room laying down the beat and lyrics flowing from his brain. Colorful lyrics, from a colorful guy, in a non-colorful room, but not for long. You see all sides of who Del is; You got him in straight contrasts set in a black and white world. You see the florescent future in color with full saturations. You see him in a plain white hoddie wrapped up in technology. You see him in his classic threads rocking a gramophone! You see Del being Del and you love it. This video is showing you exactly what it wants to show you: both sides of the brain. This is what Del has being doing since the day he stepped up to the mike. He doesn’t make it easy for you, it’s not simple, he’s not simple. If you wanted easy to digest and simple, you’re on the wrong site. Let’s remember what my grandfather told me “If it was easy, everyone would do it.” If you want to do what is easy and simple, go turn on MTV. If you want to expand both sides of the brain, proceed forward.
