We realize that Yahoo has “Wanderlust” up over on their site, which confirms much of what we talked about with E.P. Yes there is a dvd coming out with a version of the video and yes it will have some sweet 3-D glasses to help you get your
coolness on.

With Daughter’s working hard on his first feature lenght film, what’s a Feist to do for her next video? Rather than go easy with animation, the girl has got bitten by the puppet bug. [Paste]

Fancy yourself an animator, I know I don’t. I can barley get up before noon and am currently taking lessons from Paul the five-year-old down the street, on how to draw a cat. It still looks like this! But if you got some serious skill and have a ton of free time between now and April 27th, maybe you should check out this contest. If anybody missed this being dropped last Friday, here it is again because it’s definitely worth a look. These kids are from Ottawa….I know, Canadian music was so 2002, but come on. Broaden your horizons. Canadian music will be cool again soon. So if we can make an exception and include them on our pretentious Monthly Mix, then you can spare some time and enjoy their video. Their album Glory Hope Mountain, came out early last year which makes me wonder why it’s taken so long for this video to drop. Maybe that’s the new way to do things, who are we to say. Anyway, the video is an arty affair, not in a stuck-up-I-am-richer-than-you way, but in a we-drew-some-shit-and-decided-to-animate-it sort of way. It visualizes the lyrics spot on, with it’s cut-out animation and Chris Mills’ direction.

For two nights, Ghost Robot and Encyclopedia Pictura came to the west coast and rocked it like a hurricane with their latest epic for none other than Bjork. At each of those nights, a representative or three from the SRO crew showed up to get a look at the entity that is Wanderlust and see if all the legend and myths were true.
