QUEENS

We’ve always approved of Queens of the Stone Age and most of their music. Hell, they’re responsible for putting Grohl on the drums and reminding us of what kind of maniac he is behind a set. So it was to our delight that when we investigated the Guitar Hero III phenomenon and happened upon this gem, allowing us thus to shreddeth like real men. It was quite insane when our GHIII powers collided with this song and erupted in a massive orgy, along with random wild animals running around and hunting each other. After a few days straight of moving mountains and destroying lives to this song, we took a breather and happened upon the video for this song.

Once again, this is perfect for the gents. Gritty. Sexy. Violent. Unapologetic. It’s just too bad this was released around the time of Grindhouse.More specifically Tarantino’s Death Proof Unfortunately, Grindhouse, didn’t quite do it for us at SRO, so that’s even more of a step back. The saving grace in this video, however, is the nudity. The nudity is one place neither Tarantino, nor Rodriguez dared go, which shows how they can talk the talk, but can’t walk the walk. And before you start crying about how this is all male chauvanisitic, there are two reasons for pointing this out.

The first is to “compare and contrast” how this is compared to other recent art. In the case of QOTSA, this is an example of how in your face their music is, and thus their accompanying art should match. It’s by men for men. And, well, men like to see violence and nudity. Deal with it.

The second is to warn y’all not to watch this at work, unless you work at a strip club or automotive repair shop. We doubt your boss will appreciate this, especially if you work with women, and then you’ll get one of those written warnings or worse yet, fired. Then how will you bide your time until we post again? Luckily for us, this video is based on our women, so they’re all about the nudity and making out. Maybe we’ll share the story with y’all someday.

Sidenote: “Go With The Flow” is also in that Rock Band game. If you wondered why celebrities have been hitting up rehab and Britney’s been going crazy, it’s because we have been playing that song recently. Our bad. But to make up for it, here’s an interview with the artists known as Shynola, the lads who made the kick ass video.
