Beach House – Heart of Chambers (Alistair Legrand)

I was pretty close to writing this video off as just another clip of Beach House, playing in room. The opening shots are typical of what they have done before, but then….then things turn beautiful. Upon reaching the chorus they bust out of their dark and comforting room, into the light and possibilities of the world outside. I love this video for its simplicity but fitting visuals that match the songs highs and lows perfectly. I’ll bet the band was excited too — finally getting to go out into the sun and make some noise.

I’m also struck by the quality of this clip. The visuals are stunningly crisp and a pleasure to watch. DP John Frost should be given a big pat on the back for his obviously talented work on display in this video. Can’t wait till youTube gets its filthy hands on it. Enjoy.

Their new album Devotionis out now. Go downloadit!

They are also touring the US. Come see us at the Hailey’s show in March.

i’m impressed at how Frost gave this a whole 70’s vibe, without resorting to all the post that others do to give it that look. But what i’m really wondering, is how Beach House get an exhiliratiing or exciting feeling from playing songs so slow and low? Are they technical robots?
