POLYSICS

Konnichiwa Scenesters,

The Polysics are invading my hood, literally. This insane band from Japan has teamed up with the greatest of evils to go on tour. I’m slightly torn on what I should do. Do I support this band, that dresses like Daft Punk in prison and sell out my own beliefs? Or do I stand by my shady beliefs like a man? The answer is of course — beliefs are stupid anyway, they start wars. Let me take you down the path of our own destruction.

The first stop on down the mountain is “I My Me Mine”, directed by Yuichi Kodama. This is the oldest of the Polysics videos but probably the greatest. Dance 103: The Robot Dance. One camera position means that everything in front of the camera has to be interesting. I don’t care if you like the video, but you cannot deny the greatness of little girl’s dancing ability. In your face world.

Further down the road of destruction appears “Electric Surfin’ Go Go”, directed by Yuichi Kodama. Once again, damn that girl can dance and pretend to play instruments. Take a performance music video, layer over the shots with animation, and then go crazy. Who knew lightning bolts could change you into animation? Hopefully I’ll get hit by one someday. One can only hope.

The last stop and the final point of destruction is “Ceolakanth is Android” remixed by MSTRKRFT. This video is for every person who sings too loud ((Sorry guy standing in front of me.)) at a concert. You always wanted to be in a band, now is your time to watch a video about pretending to be in one. Watch it. ((Sorry about the size. It was all I could find. And it has an ad infront of it.))

You survived the journey. You now have a band to freak out your friends with. Never mind they’re just insane.
