!!!

Ahhh, Ben Dickinson, that sly sonofabitch! Here we are distracted (still) by his work with The Rapture and even LCD Soundsystem, meanwhile he was out readying us up another party time shot hosted by those dastardly diablos of dance, !!!. Much like Daughter’s skill with the performance videos, Dickinson kills it with the dance infused party anthems. And, much like Daughters, we are more than grateful for it.

This time, Dickinson goes buckwild crazy on us. Taking lead singer Nic Offer and giving him a get up that even Eli Cash would be proud of. In fact, from now on, when you or someone you may or may not know goes insane at a party, thy level of lunacy shall be dubbed “Eli Cash”. For instance: “Damn, that kid just went from insane to straight Eli Cash fo sho!” But I digress.

Let us focus on this house party from god-knows-where. I know I would get some shit for throwing this kind of party, so I definitely need to know where shit like this goes down without persecution. One can only imagine what it takes for people to get so Eli Cash. I’d say drugs, and the band would probably side with “the moon”, but actually, I’m pretty sure it’s that sick beat throwing down in the background. Seriously, this shoot looks like it was fun as hell to work on. My only wonder, is who’s next? Who’s Dickinson got his eye on next and what nonsense does he have in store for us?

Thank you sir, may we have another.

The chaos went down at an old “Shooting Gallery” in upstate New York. The “Shooting Gallery” is no longer used, however the Victorian-era house still stands. Mr Dicinson had something interesting to say about the video

“this video is only half of the story. we didn’t stage these rituals
    - we REALLY invoked the spirit of satan, a tiny little satan. the
patron demon of music videos. we did the black majik, and then
people started spontaneously taking off their clothes and dancing
around like wild beasts and committing obscene sexual acts.
everyone had a great time, but when the band saw the footage they
made me take all the satanic sex out. i guess they didn’t want
    anyone to know….”
