His 2006 album My Favorite Place to Drown is full of ocean-inspired tunes that should make Colin Meloy raise a little brow in worry, over the divine right of his sea-shanty crown. He is a Ukele player from the NYC, and while the information around the web is sparse concerning his biography, his web-page is a well-designed attempt at a start.

Someone I know likes this band. Someone I actually hang out with on occasion and has been to my house. I’ve let it slide for a while, because hey, the singer wears mascara/eye-liner and is about 40, how much harm can he do. Seeing this video though and hearing the song, have left me with a dirty foul taste in my mouth, but at least we can’t blame Billboard this time because Blue October only got up to 29th. 29th!! For serious?? Jeese, all those 13-year-old girls from Kentucky spend their lunch money on anything!

I know we talk about music videos here, so we do try and pose ourselves as having good taste in the medium, but it’s entirely different beast when talking about the music that these videos get made for. Not many people in this world have good taste in music, and before you get all angry and up in arms, just take a gander your Billboard Charts (this is only relative to the US so forget my mention of ‘world’ above) and then come back and see me. Exactly. Those number alone prove the taste of the masses are just plain shit.
