Not to be confused with ‘Oh Valencia’, Scott Cudmore brings us his vision for Timber Timbre’s ‘Oh Messiah’. Don’t get down on yourself with worry and guilt if you haven’t heard of Canada’s Timber Timbre, it’s not your fault. Your friendly neighborhood music (cough) video (cough) blogs, I mean mp3 blogs haven’t got around to mentioning them yet, so it’s no surprise to me that they have been flying under radar for the past few years. Their sparse myspace page is the only real info on the web about them, but let’s get to Mr. Cudmore’s self admitted monster mask indulgences first.

As much as I support my own people, I’m still one of the most critical of them as well. Carlos Mencia was always on the top of my suspect list, but now it’s all out there. I was right all along, too bad it had to get proven this way. [Superficial]

Woah, those people are naked! This is the other video by directors Isaiah Saxon and Sean Hellfritsch of Encyclopedia Pictura. Last week the word got out on their 6 month endeavor that is ‘The Knife’, and its creative yet elusive concept was finally judged by the web. Personally I enjoyed the creativity and effort that went into ‘The Knife’ video and the hard work/dedication in the finished product is rewarding as a viewer. This video only took half the time but I enjoyed it twice as much.

Encyclopedia Pictura’s long awaited (6 months long) much anticipated shot for “Knife” is finally out there. If everyone wasn’t already arguing over the meaning of the shot and why it’s great/too pretentious, we might say something insightful. Instead, we’ll just give y’all the heads up and bask in the glory that a music video is once again garnering such attention. Oh and mention off-hand that
Grizzly Bear does the track, you know, the band responsible for all this?

Who the fuck are the
Horrors? I like to pretend I know a bit more about the music scene than the average Tom, Dick, and Harry, but I can’t say that I (or anyone else I know for that matter) know anything about the
Horrors. Whether they are good or bad is neither here nor there, I just happened to notice that I haven’t heard any of the blogs mention them, my music buddies don’t rock them, and that the shot for their first single
“Sheena Is a Parasite” marked the return of
Chris Cunningham to his old music video stomping ground after a 7 year hiatus.
