Alright, so the second video off of Cookie Mountain has dropped and low and behold, it’s for the soft, soothing single “Providence”. Really, TVOTR could have just blindly chosen any track off the album and released it as a single and it’d be damn good, so this move of releasing “Province” neither surprises nor disappoints me. ((Not that I’m really someone they were too worried about consulting in such a matter. Still, my voice of indifference shall be heard! Thank you.))

Directed by Jeff Scheven of Soft Citizen, in glorious black and white, we find ourselves face to face with a woman in uniform. Traveling through forests, jungles, space (nice), and the Disneyland castle, she stares at us while mouthing those oh-so-pensive and twisted lyrics we’ve come to love and trip over so much. It’s not an easy journey (are they ever?) but I suppose it helps when you have guitarist Kyp Malone and singer Tunde Adebimpe ((Why can I not stop saying this name. Dear god its stuck in my head!)) reviving you. I won’t give away the end of the video, but I will say this. Maybe the girl should’ve used the Contra Code before she started about her singing adventure. I’m just saying.
