The Beatles – Within You, Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows
(Simon Hilton)

Happy New Year again all!! Before we begin the year’s first post, let me just take this time to thank each and everyone of you who came and checked out our Top 56 Music Videos of 2006. We appreciate the support, linkage, love, and hate you all gave us to the maxx!!
Now, as the first video of the year, I couldn’t help myself but to kick things off with The Beatles. Their recent release Love completely overwhelmed my senses at the end of 2006 leaving me astonished and dumbfounded over its freshness and outright pristine sound quality. I have never heard any of the Beatles’ music sound so crystal clear and neither have you. Guaranteed.
But it’s not the quality only that pulls you in (although ask any fan and I’m sure super high clean sound worked over on all the albums would be a delight in itself) its also the craftmanship in re-mixing/re-working only a paltry amount of their classics. I could go on for days about what they’ve done with such ultra-classics as “Strawberry Fields Forever”, “Octopus’s Garden”, or “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”
As it is we have here the super combo of “Within You, Without You” and “Tomorrow Never Knows.” The video is only a sample of what one could do with the trippy and psychedelic aura created by this new concoction. I couldn’t imagine what would happen to me if I was in -ahem- an altered state of mind whilst listening experiencing this entire new universe in either its video or audio incarnation. And let’s not forget that this was all created for that Cirque du Soleil show playing over in Vegas. Deal me in, cause I’m so there…who’s with me?
Mad props to Video Static for the heads up and giving me only the slightest excuse I needed to rave about this thing called Love by The Beatles.
