Peaches – Boys Wanna Be Her
(Kris Lefcoe)

Not gonna lie, but Peaches freaks me the fuck out. Sometimes she’s hot (see above). Sometimes she’s not. Sometimes she’s a woman (see above again). Sometimes she’s a man. And sometimes she’s even both ((Check out the crotch region)). It’s enough to make a poser (like myself) stay away because I just don’t know what the hell is going on.
The song for this shot sounds like some badass song a villain or gang would be introduced with, which elevates the cool factor. Also upping said cool factor is the addition of a band to accompany Mr./Mrs. Peaches. Whether Im scared of Peaches or not, she’s got JD Samson (Le Tigre) in her lineup rockin’ the keytar and that’s fuckin’ rad. Props to Lefcoe of Oil Factory for realizing that:
“Wrecking instruments is one thing, but wrecking YOURSELF with your instruments, now THAT’s rock ‘n’ roll!”
So, fan or not, I guess you should take a trip down the path that leads to Peaches. I have and seriously, even if some of the images aren’t the prettiest, she’s an artist staying true to herself and I for one respect that. Word on the street is that her live shows wreck shop, I’m interested, anyone care to accompany me?

Ha. That’s exactly how I feel about her.

one gig that’s likely to sear some consciences: peaches & smoosh, 28 october, somewhere in japan (apparently). http://kurtney.exblog.jp/3434262
So my softball friends call that finger arrangement the shocker. So, you’re trying to tell me that is a girl. I thought man when I first took a peek. Overall disturbing in a real life kind of way. Nah, that’s alright Los.
I’m a big fan of gore and this video made me cringe. That’s a good sign. She’s a nasty bitch and I appreciate that. Balls and all…
Um. not so much.
Shooockkker. I noticed that too George.
[...] Seriously people, is this what we’re gonna be doing from now on? Is this the direction we’re going? Way to go Cat, way to bite off Peaches. [...]
[...] But before we get to that, let’s take a look at who he’s partnered with recently, before the backlash begins. Leslie Feist, or the epitomy of spunk, is rounding third and heading home with her second proper full length, The Reminder, due out May 1st (but a week earlier for those in the U.K. – we see how it is Leslie). Basically she’s Canadian-born, used to be roommates with Peaches, and sometimes plays with the Broken Social Scene conglomerate. Her last album Let It Die was a splash for the indie crowd and even got her single “Mushaboom” a couple of covers (see Conor Oberst), remixes (see Postal Service) and if i’m not mistaken, got it thrown on a commercial or two. In fact this is where we find her first meeting with Mr. Daughters, which would be a sign of things to come. [...]
