Aight fools!! What we got here is some new hottness from da queen of the EuroRap scene. The x chromosome to The Streets y. Just signed to Jay-Z’s Def Jam, Lady S looks as though she’s ready to take mainstream america by storm. Having already hooked much of those in the bloggeratti, will it be cool to dislike her now? Or will it be cool to have been on her train since day one?

Since I didn’t give a shit then and don’t now, I can say that I don’t buy this chick at all. She looks tough (at times) but then her raps/vids are ridiculously cheesy or unfunny. Like when eminem tries to be funny in his videos (Without Me, My Name Is), when he should just stick to being pissed off or badass (Superman, Stan). If Sovereign was badass in her raps and such, man she could be hott!! But instead she messes around with monkeys, dresses up in furballs, and gets thrown in a dumpster. I dig the Tetris effect as well as the poly-beat, but her rhymes and the video filler just disappoint me.

This may not be my cup of tea, but if it’s yours, here ya go, enjoy yourselves bitches!!

    Alright, so I didn’t like her hair or her moustache, but overall I enjoyed the song. I like that her accent is like Audrey Hepburn’s “before” vs. her “after” accent in My Fair Lady. Lilly Allen
    would totally kick her ass, though.
