Chrome Children is the second collaboration between Adult Swim and the rap/hip-hop community, their first being the beautiful outing/endevour/combination of Danger Mouse & MF Doom on the Mouse and the Mask. Not much is said about the who’s/what’s/why’s concerning this marriage, both of the respected websites (AdultSwim / StonesThrow) say nothing further than pleasantries, but who really cares. This release features guest spots from all your favorite Stone Throwers and even comes with a, wait for it…….DVD of live footage captured at ACL this past month (the new trend, if you haven’t noticed in cd releases. I guess labels are looking to sweeten up the pot and lure downloaders back into buying hard coppies).

The video is an animated gem and is also just plain awesome, featuring quirky characters doing quirkier things. It falls under the category, cute-to-the-max, so sit back and let it wash over you! The song on its own isn’t much, but coupled with these fictional scenes of an underwater love affair, the track fits perfectly and seems meant to be. Adult Swim is debuting a new video each week, not only on their site but also on the tele, so get your glasses on and stay sober! More videos from David Garcia coming soon.
