Justice vs. Simian – We Are Your Friends

JvsS

Justice vs Simian is the clashing of two bands which results in a mashing of sounds that becomes a nice little dance track that has all the children bouncing and singing. Shit has been hot for 3 years (and it’s still burning), first being released in 2003 and then making its way around the British club scene; now the video has dropped(well in July) along with the single here in the States. Not your typical fresh-out-of-Final Cut, get-it-while-it’s-hot, see-it-here-before-anywhere-else, everyone-is-biting-our-shit, video that we usually grace you with but it’s still hot none the same. An SRO-holla to Derek of Good Weather For Broken Hyperlinks for reminding me this video was out there, so in his honor I decided to hook it up with a download. To the uninitiated; this video and song are essential to your hipster(insert your identifying noun) status.

Despite it’s simple concept a lot of planning and precautions went into making this video, but basically a tale of the demented wishes and secrets our friends/enemies covet for us when we pass out in their hostile/friendly territory post party/heavy-drinking. If you like to read go check out this interview with the art director, Jean-Michel Bertin and read about his hand in the video. The short of it is; a one day shoot, three vans full of miscellaneous items, stunt men, wires, padded landings and the Surface to Air offices. In the words of our hero Borat, Iss-Niice!

Why can’t all parties end this well?

I was pretty much laughing the entire video so you can count me in for liking it!

It a music video done to Ebaum’s
    World
. Count me out guys. Other then a couple of stunts I’ve seen every one
of these tricks done before. I do like the tower of furniture. It kind of
reminds me of X-Men: Last Stand stealing “I’m
    the juggernaut bitch”
    That ones for you Moto.
