Oi peeps! I know its been awhile since you’ve heard from me, and I have an excuse, but according to B its “unacceptable” (apparently “work, working on 2 video projects, school, and alcohol testing” doesn’t count). Anyways, I’ve been dying to talk about Wolf Parade on our blog, but damn if they haven’t been trying to fuck things up. First they get Isaac Brock (of Modest Mouse) to over-produce their record and almost kill their songs. Then they release “Shine a Light” as a single instead of one of their much more superior songs (hello “I’ll Believe In Anything” anyone?!) Then, they put out that travesty of a video for Shine A Light which might as well be a kick to my nuts everytime I see it.
Well kids, the boys, thankfully, play it safe and go the ever popular stop-motion route with this cryptic vid for “Modern World”. Apparently Bizanski is a whiz at this, (check out his stuff Here but good luck figuring out his website though, it’s both the best/worst site I think I’ve been to, you’ll see what I mean) previously he did the “Pink Bullets” video for the Shins. Aside from the whole dark “Man v.s. Technology” theme, I would recommend taking note of how detailed the guy is. This technique, my friends, is called “Giving a Fuck”. Not to be confused with the “Oh, Fuck It” technique which, though very popular, is the exact opposite. Seriously folks, ask yourselves, “When’s the last time I paid this much attention to anything….ever?” Even I can’t say shit! (yeah yeah yeah, I know its not saying much)
Hopefully this is one small step towards some much worthier accompanyment to their music, and if you have yet to aquaint yourself with Apologies to the Queen Mary get on that shit! Be their Friend too. Click, download, enjoy.

Okay first of all… That Shine a Light video was terrible! But I must admitt it was entertaining to laugh at how stupid it was. And i kind of liked the part where he went to lay down and there was a pillow for each one of his heads. I dunno why
Second of all… The Modern World vid was amazing. The details and probably time spent on it is incredible. I enjoy clay-amation, or whatever they choose to call it.
